Gear up for yet another Salehe Bembury x Crocs Pollex Clog release, this time in Tide.
Working his way from designing in-house shoes for Payless to becoming the VP of Sneakers and Men’s Footwear at Versace, Salehe Bembury has finally come into his own with collabs from NB and Crocs. The latter of these two collaborative efforts has drawn the most attention for the 35-year-old designer, both for its trendy appearance and its often ridiculed release method on his beaspunge website. It looks like the dozen or so colorways we revealed earlier in the year are still headed for release as Bembury took to Instagram to announce the release of the next colorway of his Crocs Pollex Clog, coming in Tide.
The same one-piece EVA foam construction remains with its various ridges and grooves coming inspired by Bembury’s signature design motif, his fingerprint, combining three to create the wild pattern seen. Covered entirely in a turquoise shade, Crocs’ Pollex water siphoning system is present through the various ventilation holes seen on the toe and sidewall, allowing for use in and near water as well as providing maximum breathability. Back on the heel portion, the famous “sports mode” strap is redesigned to feature velcro and hosts co-branding between Crocs and Salehe, though another hit of both the brand and designer comes via the textured footbed. On the outsole, the Pollex multi-directional traction pattern is present on high-impact zones through a rubberized material that slightly differs in shade from the rest of the sneaker.
The Salehe Bembury x Crocs Pollex Clog Tide is slated to release on September 22nd, 2022 through beaspunge.com while crocs.com will host a raffle starting on September 29th, 2022. Select retailers may also release pairs in the coming weeks. Releasing in men’s sizing, the retail price is set at $85.
